As the daughter of a military family, Riley was exposed to diverse communities and perspectives, shaping her dynamic and adaptable approach to law. She lived in various locations, including North Carolina and Germany, before her family settled in Washington. She earned her B.B.A. from Pacific Lutheran University before attending Seattle University School of Law, where she graduated cum laude. During law school, she earned the Outstanding Recognition Award for her extensive pro bono work in civil rights, immigration, and juvenile law, as well as a CALI Excellence for the Future Award.
